What makes the Northern Lights?

Aurora Borealis

Magnetic forces make the Northern Lights.

The way it works is that the Earths magnetic force is surrounded by the sunlight and the sunlight shines through the magnetic field like it's shining on a piece of glass and makes a rainbow in its reflection on a wall.

On the ice caps and Arctic/Antartic circles are where there is barely any of our magnetism forces on the poles of the north and the south is the Aurora Borealis.

Is Pluto a Planet?

Is Pluto a planet?

I watched Nova Science Now. There was a rocket scientist, and he thought that Pluto was not a planet. Watching the Pluto Files, I think that Pluto is a planet BUT still many people just disagree and think Pluto is not a planet and is just a piece of the Kuiper belt with a bunch of dust-clomping leftovers with many Dwarf stars/Dwarf planets/debris.

There were a whole bunch of third-graders who were sending the rocket scientist from the show a lot of hate-mail saying like:Pluto IS a planet, and we like Pluto so why not call it a planet anymore. Click here to see some of this hate mail: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/pluto/mail-flash.html

Don't forget to vote on the Pluto survey!

Conjunctions are when planets and/or stars meet in the same line.
Tonight, there is going to be a conjunction between neptune and the moon.

March is Saturn's month. It is closest to the earth.

Saturn will be bright this month.
